Brazilian-born cardiologist Carlos Machado first saw Frank Netter’s medical illustrations as a boy of six. Over the course of his life and even through medical school, Machado honed his talent for illustration and embraced hyperrealism. Eventually he was chosen to become the successor of Dr. Netter and valuable contributor to “The Netter Collection of Medical Illustrations.”
