Every Saturday at The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center Academia Cuauhtli teaches Mexican children Tejano and Mexican history in Spanish. The program is designed to bridge gaps in American History classes. Founders say it's important to teach these students where they come because many feel alienated in their new home.
